Mindfulness and Self-Care Workshops
Research shows that mindfulness and other self-care practices have a myriad of benefits for parents and caregivers, such as improving their ability to effectively communicate, problem-solve, as well as better understand and meet their children’s needs. This program (2 sessions or more) includes guided meditations, simple exercises, and discussions that help improve caregivers’ relationships with their children and are proven to alleviate common feelings associated with parenting, such as guilt, disappointment, shame and embarrassment.
Mindfulness at Home
This program (4 sessions or more) teaches parents simple mindfulness strategies they can model and use at home with the entire family. Caregivers are introduced to activities that build their children’s capacity to connect, breathe, move, focus, and relax and learn how these practices can help children and adults regulate emotions and build resiliency.
