Embodied Mindfulness
for Resilience, Connection & Collective Well-Being
Cultivating ease, joy and belonging— for ourselves, our communities, and our world
Hi, I am Marissa (Mar)
they/them
I'm a mindfulness teacher, coach, and facilitator offering embodied mindfulness and self-compassion practices for people of all ages. I partner with individuals, groups, schools and organizations to create experiences that help people reconnect with themselves, one another and what matters most.
I believe healing happens both within ourselves and in relationship with one another. Whether you're navigating personal challenges or collective struggle, my intention is to create spaces where people feel welcomed, supported, and free to show up just as they are. Learn more about me.
Drawing from mindfulness, self-compassion, embodied practices, gentle movement, and experiential learning, I adapt each experience to meet the unique needs of the people in the room. Together, we build resilience, deepen connection, and make room for the full range of what it means to be human. We practice meeting life's challenges—and emotions like grief, anger, fear, and overwhelm—with curiosity, kindness, and compassion instead of judgment. Along the way, we also make plenty of room for creativity, laughter, play, rest and joy.
I believe personal healing and collective liberation are deeply connected. As we learn to care for ourselves with compassion, we strengthen our capacity to care for one another and help build more just, connected, and compassionate communities.
Healing doesn't have to be heavy or done alone—and growth doesn't require taking ourselves too seriously. My hope is that people leave feeling more grounded, more connected and a little lighter—with practical tools to support themselves and their communities, whatever life brings.
